🖥️ How to Install MetaMask on Desktop (Browser Extension)

1. Open your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge).

2. Go to the official MetaMask website: https://metamask.io

3. Click on “Download”.

4. Select your browser and click “Install MetaMask for [Your Browser]”.

5. You will be redirected to the browser’s extension store. Click “Add to [Browser]” or “Install Extension”.

6. After installation, click the MetaMask icon in the top-right of your browser.

7. Choose “Get Started”.

8. Select “Create a Wallet” or “Import Wallet” if you already have one.

9. Follow the instructions to create a password and back up your Secret Recovery Phrase (write it down and keep it safe!).

10. You’re done! MetaMask is now ready to use.

📱 How to Install MetaMask on Mobile (iOS & Android)

1. Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

2. Search for “MetaMask”.

3. Make sure the developer is Consensys Inc.

4. Tap “Install” or “Get”.

5. Once installed, open the MetaMask app.

6. Tap “Get Started”.

7. Choose “Create a Wallet” or “Import Wallet” if you already have one.

8. Follow the steps to set a password and secure your Secret Recovery Phrase.

9. Setup complete! You can now use MetaMask on your mobile device.

🌐 How to Add the Polygon (Matic) Network to MetaMask

✅ Method 1: Add Manually

1. Open your MetaMask wallet.

2. Click the network dropdown at the top (usually says “Ethereum Mainnet”).

3. Click “Add network” or “Add a network manually”.

4. Fill in the following Polygon network details:

   Name:               Polygon Mainnet  
   New RPC URL:        https://rpc-mainnet.matic.quiknode.pro
   Chain ID:           137  
   Currency Symbol:    MATIC  
   Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com  

5. Click “Save”.

6. You are now connected to the Polygon Mainnet!

✅ Method 2: Add Automatically via Chainlist (Optional)

1. Visit https://chainlist.org using your browser.

2. In the search bar, type “Polygon”.

3. Find Polygon Mainnet and click “Add to MetaMask”.

4. MetaMask will prompt you to approve the network. Click “Approve” and then “Switch network”.
